Pinterest certainly helps you find some beautiful content sometimes… and I recently came across this beautiful gaggle of women and the most perfectly stunning barn wedding from last year via Wedding Chicks. Does 4 women constitute a “gaggle”? I’m sticking to it… I loved the overall styling of this wedding once I saw the feature! But what really drew me in was the beautiful simplicity of the bride and her ‘maids look. It’s such a fresh spin on vintage, and captured so wonderfully via Debra Eby, you felt a connection as you move through these photographs. Beautifully ensembled neutral bridesmaid dresses! Bridesmaid dresses were via Etsy, designer River of Romansk. Full wedding feature at Wedding Chicks. Featured photo courtesy of… Read More →
I love the idea of wedding guests getting involved at the wedding. Photo booths have been a long popular way of capturing the moment visually and a take-home for the guest. One idea that I definitely hope to have at my own wedding! It’s such a nice way for guests to mingle and engage with each other, plus you get all the photos instantly! I came across a few great ideas recently, and this one from Style Me Pretty is my fave. Easy to hang up in an area of your choice, and a momento with the date specifics that looks like a polaroid. Love it! This one I found via Pinterest and don’t have an original source, but I… Read More →
I stumbled upon Bradeon Flynn’s blog and was completely blown away by his talent to capture moments. Scouring his website and blog was such a pleasure and well worth spending a few hours doing! All the photographs capture the laughter, fun and love of a wedding, and you can almost tell the couple’s history just by looking at his photographs. Such a beautiful photographer, check him out for sure! Make sure to check out his blog
Featured on Green Wedding Shoes yesterday, I couldn’t help but be instantly infected by Benj Haisch’s photographs. Not only does he capture the beauty, love and moments of the couple; but you can clearly see the love and joy he has of photography just by the photographs he takes. The way Benj captures this emotive and explosiveness in photos is beautiful. A truly talented photographer – make sure to check out his blog for more inspiration. I spent hours poring through his collection. The photographs of newly engaged couple Mathias and Chelsea grabbed me immediately due to the use of powder, as we’ve been working with this treatment recently at work. This stunning sequence has been captured perfectly – and… Read More →
As my last post on country style bridesmaid dresses were from a wedding that Shannen Norman photographed, it seemed only fitting to feature her work today. Getting a taste for what Shannen captures through her lens, I kept wanting more. Here’s a collection of photographs from her, I highly recommend browsing through her beautiful photographs yourself!
Having stalked Jose Villa for many months now on Twitter, Instagram and his blog, I thought it was about time to share some of the reasons I think he is a genius! Truly one of the most talented photographers I’ve seen in recent times, gets me excited every time I see a new tweet or blog post because I know it will be brilliant! Whilst some of these photos below aren’t necessarily of weddings, they are too beautiful not to share. Take my word for it, follow @josevilla or visit his blog, you’ll be inspired.
So, my latest inspiration I stumbled upon while scouring Pinterest and I was in love in an instant. Chad & Ashley’s beautiful wedding photos by Lauren McConnell are among the most inspiring I’ve seen. The setting is absolutely perfect, with rustic flair and beautiful lighting. And it doesn’t hurt that the subjects are easy on the eyes either.
Cate Jackson shot Julie’s wedding in St. Louis, and I was blown away with how beautiful these shots were. The light was perfect, the setting was great, and she’s captured Julie and Jared’s personalities so well! She is truly talented.
I know everyone gets excited when they see a handwritten envelope in their mailbox – or at least I do! Save the dates are typically sent out 6-12 months prior to one’s wedding. They have become a bit more postcard like, being easy to send and no response necessary at that point. Magnets are also popular to then remind people stuck up on their fridge. Sending save the dates to invited guests is particularly important for destination weddings or weddings where there will be a large number of interstate/international guests. This gives them time to plan/save/book for your big day. Keep them pretty simple, so that they are not confused with an actual invitation – they only need to have… Read More →
I love the stylised setting of this photograph. Fisheye Studios recently shot a friends wedding so I was looking through their album and found this beautiful couple. The fun of the shoot has been captured so perfectly, can’t wait to see Kristina’s professional shots!
