I found this via Pinterest last night, and have desperately been trying to track down the original to find the photographer! Unfortunately, no luck! But, this stunning dress by Jason Wu is just exquisite! I would absolutely be happy to walk down the aisle in this ray of sunshine! Has anyone worn a non-traditional colour gown to their wedding? I would love to hear from you and see some photos! Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I love getting Lisa Ho emails, there’s always something in them that I want to buy! Last week was no exception: the Bridal Boutique edition! Featured within were Lisa Ho’s latest collection of Bridal wear, and got bit a little bit excited! My favourite one was the peplum style silk taffeta strapless gown, it’s very on trend for this season and reasonably priced at $1,999! This simply beautifully crafted silk tulle bodice and low neckline creates an elegant and classic gown. This more elaborate gown is also among my favourites, with it’s intricate hand sewn sequins and delicately frayed georgette to finish off this stunning gown. Check out Lisa Ho’s website for more info.
What a gorgeous group of ladies! I particularly love this mismatched ensemble that keep in theme with the bride’s ivory. The unique champagne theme dresses are perfectly matched with their own custom bouquet – fabulous! I just love the individuality of each dress, teamed with it’s own accessories and flowers, it brings such a uniqueness to the group but manages to thread them all together. This is certainly one the most beautiful bridal parties I’ve seen with such attention to detail. For a feature of the full wedding, check out Kristen Gardner’s blog. Kristen certainly captured Kathleen & Jon’s day impeccably, what a way to reflect on your wedding!
I love the idea of doing a pattern for a bridesmaid dress, and while I was watching the latest episodes of Revenge tonight, Charlotte’s dress popped out at me! I must say, the first three episodes of Revenge have certainly been showcasing some beautiful dresses! Looking forward to many more inspirational dresses! Image courtesy of Celebrity Style Guide This dress is by Dolce & Gabbana and such a gorgeous, summery chiffon dress. I think this would be a perfect addition to a summer wedding party. Would you do floral for your bridesmaids?
Who doesn’t love a good wedding gown shot! A variety of pre-wedding shots with the bride inevitably require a few angles of the dress itself. As a way to show off the gown on the big day, photographers tend to hang the dress in a high place to accentuate the train, neckline, fabric and colour. My favourites are those that hang the dress from a tree, or include some shubbery, it looks like such a beautiful contrast and brings out the detail in the dress.
If you’ve ever stepped into a Karen Willis Holmes boutique, you know how truly spectacular her gowns are. The clear influence of the 18th century woman, her style is sophisticated and a twist of modern.
