Since signing up to Trumpet and Horn, Tuesday mornings (or Wednesday with the timezone difference!) are always such a treat now! Each Tuesday, Trumpet and Horn release new vintage rings onto their website for our viewing pleasure. This morning, I found a dream ring! Amongst this morning’s rings, the St Albins totally caught my eye. It’s a beautiful piece of jewelery! “St. Albins is a vintage late Art Deco era engagement ring made from platinum centering a 0.94cts EGL certified Old European Cut diamond graded J color and SI1 clarity. This simple engagement ring design showcases the beautifully cut diamond set high in a six-prong setting. The unique basket design features a hexagonal border underneath the center stone creating a… Read More →
As always, my beautiful guest editor Kate Piasecka shares such a delightful love story! I love a good surprise wedding party, and it’s been captured just brilliantly through Kate’s words and the photography from Photojo! Love is in the air. Love is all you need. Love is all around. Love can set you free. This is a post about love. It’s about 26 year old Julia and 28 year old Tegan. A six year old love that started in Adelaide and continues to grow in Melbourne; cemented at an engagement party-turned-surprise wedding back in March. Attended by friends and family, Jules and Tegs as they are known affectionately, made their love known in a ceremony not unlike any other wedding…. Read More →
There’s something pretty special about the moment you find out your best friend is engaged. With my best girlfriend Meg, I had known for a while that her husband-to-be was planning to propose; so every time I got a call from her, I was anticipating the news! For me, last weekend after a great catch up with an old group of friends, I got a late night text. Given my best guy friend Guy, lives overseas, it wasn’t unusual to get a late night text with the time difference. However, I was uber-excited when the first line of the text said It felt like at that moment, our lives were all connected again. Our group of friends from when we… Read More →
My favourite guest blogger is back in town, and she’s sharing one of the most divine engagement shoots you’ll see this year! Amazingness from Ben Yew! Once upon a time my friend Kale met a tiny blonde bombshell who made up for her (lack of) hight with an enormous personality and a huge heart. Her name was Stephanie and he was smitten. (I was also smitten, the girl is hilarious.) Both originally from Perth, the two now live in Geraldton – a rural hub on WA’s central coast. Kale, 27, met his primary school teaching bride-to-be six years ago through mutual friends. Last year he popped the question on bended knee at a pre-arranged photo shoot in Perth with the couple’s much-loved… Read More →

I think breathtaking is a pretty good summation of how I felt when I saw this shoot! Here’s a selection of their beautiful photos! I’m lucky enough to be attending her and Rezwan’s wedding today, so stay tuned for more photos to come from this beautiful couple! Love is certainly in the air this April! Two of my darling friends have just gotten engaged! Congratulations to the beautiful Melissa and Rezwan who got engaged in Egypt of all places, while travelling with Melissa’s family. What a way to propose, I’m sure it will be a memorable one for the family! 😉 And to my amazingly talented colleague, and most wonderful friend, Kara! Too cute that Craig couldn’t wait until their planned holiday to ask KJ to marry him. What a romantic, setting up a table on the beach with balloons and french champagne…Congrats you guys!
I’m a week late on writing this post, but I had to do a shout out to my gorgeous friend Meredith and her new fiance Campbell! The moment I got a text from Mez at 2am last Monday morning, I knew what the news was without even reading the message.
